You Should Be Able to Collaborate with Your Remodeler

 

When you start the renovation process, whether big or small, you want to find a team of contractors that will be partners with you in this journey. Our friend Sally told us she interviewed multiple people to find the right fit, and when she spoke to Josh at Treasured Spaces she had no doubt she had found her contractor. It’s very unfortunate to think that a company would hear what you want to do in your home and tell you no you can’t do that, no we think you might like this, no you won’t be able to have that. When you have your home, you want to make it how you want it, and Treasured Spaces wants to help you get there on your path and your terms, not ours.

Sally, in this case, was doing multiple projects before she moves into her home. Treasured Spaces helped her with her bathroom, kitchen, and a few other projects, all based on her ideas. She had contractors tell her that laminate floors and IKEA kitchens were not a good idea, but Sally was determined to make her dreams a reality, and we helped her get there. Our team even retrofitted the exact vanity she wanted, to fit the sink and drain and it turned out beautiful!

A good contractor is going to listen to you, consider your options, explain to you what is or isn’t possible, and make your renovation as painless as possible. They will work on your timeline, your flexibility, and your budget. It’s ok to tell a contractor “no” if you find they are not the right fit for you. It’s important that you find a contractor who will work with you, not against you. Keep asking until you find the one – and we hope that can be Treasured Spaces!
