The spring 2018 Parade of Homes and Remodelers Showcase in Minnesota is off to a great start. With so much great work being presented, it’s one of the best times of the year!
The Parade of Homes is a scattered site tour of new homes in Minnesota. This bi-annual event lets builder members of the BATC-Housing First Minnesota (BATC-HF) show off hundreds of models, spec and pre-sold homes for people to tour.
Any person that’s thinking about moving, remodeling or are simply interested in staying up-to-date with the latest home design trends will enjoy Parade of Homes. With hundreds of new homes throughout Minnesota, attendees can tour them based on location, style and/or price range. Overall, the event showcases a complete range of all the newest things in home design while providing accurate pricing so visitors can understand real costs associated with buying a home.
From February 24 – March 25, attendees are able to tour 481 new homes at the Parade of Homes. From March 23 to March 25, 63 remodeled homes are open for viewing at the Remodelers Showcase (all homes open noon to 6pm, Thursdays through Sundays).
Touring is always free, except for one to four homes that are selected by the BATC-Housing First Foundation as their Artisan Dream Homes, with a $5 entry donation required. All proceeds help the Foundation build and remodel homes for area families in need.

Treasured Spaces will be featured in the spring 2018 Parade of Homes, with work including a remodeled a house in Linden Hills, Minneapolis. The entire house was redone, from the upper level to the kitchen to the owners suite and beyond. You won’t want to miss seeing this high-end transformations in one of Minneapolis’ most desirable neighborhoods.

Remodel of 3947 Chowen Ave S – Minneapolis, MN
Sometimes you find the perfect location, but after a while, outgrow your home. Treasured Spaces began the task of turning a quaint rambler, built in 1937, into the ideal living space fit for a family.
A second level was added and the entire home was remodeled during this total transformation. The main level features a spacious, open-layout kitchen, perfect for entertaining, that flows into a dining room and living room, featuring a gorgeous fireplace and built in shelving. An office and mudroom were also added to the main floor as well as a power room, located right off the kitchen.
The second level features two bedrooms, a full bath, and master suite as well as a laundry room. The master suite is a spacious, sun-filled space, connected to a customized walk in closet, by a walk-through bathroom with heated tiled floors, a tile shower, and a custom framed mirror/window combination with double vanity.
An emphasis was placed on high quality materials, utilizing oak floors, and stunning kitchen countertops. Careful planning was involved in the layout to ensure no space was wasted. The basement is the perfect place for cozy movie nights, showcasing another stone fireplace. Don’t miss this stunning transformation, in one of Minneapolis’ most charming neighborhoods!
